Ford’s EV Mission – Mustang Mach-E

You can now pre-order Ford’s first venture into the EV market proper.  The Mustang Mach-E is set to hit our streets in 2021, but is available to pre-order now.

It’s badged a Mustang and will likely be on the market starting at around £40,000 and is set to compete with the Tesla Model Y and Model S in terms of price, range and target market.

The range of the car will be around 280 miles for the smaller 75kWh battery with an impressive 370 for the larger 99kWh version.

It will be able to charge at up to 150kW which will be the standard coming, hopefully for all new cars by the time it’s available.

The better news in our view, is that it is just the start of the Ford electric car range and by the time we get to 2021, we expect Ford to be catching up with other manufacturers in terms of the availability of their more everyday electric car models.
